X Layer Network Guide

🌍 Universal EVM Guide

Note: This tutorial uses BSC (BNB Chain) for demonstration purposes, but the workflow applies to all EVM-compatible chains.

Supported Networks: Ethereum (ETH), Base, Arbitrum (Arb), Optimism (OP), Polygon (Matic), Avalanche (Avax), X Layer, Monad, Plasma, and others.

Instructions:

  1. Open your wallet (e.g., MetaMask or OKX Wallet).

  2. Switch the network to your target chain (e.g., X Layer).

  3. Follow the steps below; the interaction process is identical across all chains.

🚀 About X Layer

X Layer (formerly X1) is a high-performance Layer 2 network launched by OKX and built using the Polygon CDK. By leveraging ZK-proof technology to bridge with Ethereum, it delivers ultra-high throughput and minimal gas fees, serving as the core hub for deploying projects within the OKX ecosystem.

SlerfTools is fully integrated with X Layer. It is your go-to toolkit for bridging into the OKX ecosystem, launching tokens, and executing low-cost airdrops.

⚠️ Important Note: Unlike most L2s, X Layer uses $OKB for Gas, not $ETH. Please ensure your wallet holds sufficient $OKB on the X Layer network. The interaction steps in this guide are identical to those for BSC, Base, or ETH.

🎯 X Layer Advantages: Deep Liquidity from OKX, ZK-Grade Security, Enterprise-Grade Upgrade (Oct 2025 Mainnet Optimization), and highly DeFi Friendly.

⚙️ Step 1: Network & RPC Configuration

To interact with X Layer, MetaMask users must manually add the network details. (OKX Wallet supports X Layer natively—no manual setup is required.)

💡 CRITICAL: X Layer uses $OKB for Gas fees. Unlike most Layer 2s that use $ETH, you must hold $OKB to transact. You can withdraw $OKB directly to the "X Layer" network via the OKX Exchange.

Network Parameters:

  • RPC URL: https://rpc.xlayer.tech

  • Chain ID: 196

  • Currency Symbol: OKB

🛠 Step 2: Core Features Guide

SlerfTools is fully integrated with the X Layer network. Click the link below to access the universal visual walkthrough.

Universal Guide (Must Read)

To streamline our documentation, the tutorials below feature screenshots from BSC (BNB Chain).

When interacting on X Layer, the workflow is identical.

👉 You simply need to:

  • Follow the steps exactly as shown in the guide.

  • Mentally replace any mention of $BNB in the screenshots with $OKB.

  • Verify your wallet is connected to the X Layer Mainnet.

🪙 Token Launch

Create Standard Token

  • Deploy your project token on the OKX ecosystem instantly—no Solidity coding required.

Create Vanity Token

  • Generate a custom contract address (e.g., starting with 0x000...) to boost brand recognition and trust.

👛 Wallet Management

Batch Generate Wallets

  • Instantly create multiple X Layer wallets for multi-account management and bulk operations.

Wallet Asset Migration

  • Bulk transfer $OKB and tokens to new addresses in one click. Perfect for wallet rotation and asset consolidation.

Wallet Cleanup

  • Bulk sell tokens to recover $OKB and sweep scattered assets (dust) into a single destination address.

📦 Multi-Sender (Airdrops & Collection)

Batch Transfer (Airdrop)

  • Rapidly distribute $OKB or tokens to hundreds of community users. Perfect for event rewards and airdrops.

Asset Collection (Sweeping)

  • Consolidate assets from multiple X Layer addresses into a single main wallet with one click to optimize Gas usage.

💧 Liquidity Management (Swap & DeFi)

Add Liquidity

  • Launch liquidity pools on OKX DEX or other X Layer AMMs. SlerfSwap is now live—you can add liquidity directly today.

📈 Market Cap Management

Batch Trading

  • Execute synchronized buy/sell orders across multiple wallets using unified parameters.

Volume Booster

  • Simulate organic trading activity to increase transaction volume and improve chart metrics/visibility.

⛽️ X Layer Gas & Optimization

  • Current Gas Levels: Ultra-low (approx. 1-25 Gwei).

  • Gas Token: $OKB (ensure your wallet is funded).

How to get $OKB for Gas:

  • OKX Exchange: Withdraw $OKB directly to the "X Layer" network.

  • Official Bridge: Bridge $OKB from Ethereum Mainnet to X Layer.

  • Liquidity: Fully integrated with OKX DEX for one-click swaps.

❓ X Layer Exclusive FAQ

Why is my transaction failing with "Insufficient Gas"?

Please check if your wallet holds $OKB. Many users habitually deposit $ETH, but X Layer exclusively uses $OKB for gas fees.

How do I fund my wallet with $OKB Gas?

Go to OKX App/Web → Withdraw → Select X Layer Network → Enter your wallet address. No bridging is required.

What is the fastest way to deposit funds?

We recommend withdrawing directly from the OKX Exchange. On the withdrawal page, select $OKB and choose the "X Layer" network. This method is instant and significantly cheaper/faster than using an on-chain bridge.

Why isn't the Block Explorer "Etherscan"?

X Layer uses the proprietary OKLink Explorer (https://web3.okx.com/explorer/x-layer). While the layout differs slightly from Etherscan, core functions like looking up Tx Hashes and Read/Write Contract interactions work exactly the same way.
