⚙️How to Connect Wallet & Switch EVM Networks (Universal Guide)
SlerfTools (Omnichain Tools) requires a connected wallet (e.g., OKX Wallet, MetaMask). This guide shows you how to add and switch EVM networks with one click to ensure a seamless workflow.
This configuration applies to ALL EVM-compatible chains. The steps are identical; simply swap the RPC parameters (refer to the table below). Supported networks include: BSC, Base, ETH, X Layer, Plasma, Monad, and more.

Note: Always download from the official website. Safeguard your Seed Phrase (Mnemonic) and never disclose it to anyone!
📥 Step 1: Install Wallet
Skip this step if you already have a wallet.
Official Download: Go to web3.okx.com or metamask.io (Please verify the official URL to avoid phishing scams).
Install Extension: Supports Chrome, Edge, and Brave browsers, or iOS/Android mobile devices.
Create Account: Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your new wallet.
⚠️ Security Warning: NEVER share your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase) with anyone or enter it into any unofficial website. SlerfTools will NEVER ask for your Private Key or Seed Phrase.
🌐 Step 2: Add Network (RPC)
OKX Wallet supports all major networks by default, so you generally don't need to add them manually—simply search for the network in the list. (Manual configuration is only needed for specific cases, such as adding a private RPC). The following instructions are specifically for MetaMask.
Method A: One-Click Add via SlerfTools (Recommended - Fastest)
This is the easiest method—no need to manually copy and paste parameters.
Go to the SlerfTools official website.
Click "Connect Wallet" in the top right corner.
Click the Network Switcher button next to the wallet icon.
Select your desired network from the dropdown menu (e.g.,
X Layer Mainnet).MetaMask will automatically prompt you. Click "Confirm" to add and switch to the network instantly.

Method B: Manual Configuration (Universal Method)
If the automatic method fails, you can configure it manually:
Open the MetaMask extension and click the Network selector button (usually at the top left).

Click "Add a custom network" at the bottom.

Enter the corresponding parameters for your target chain (you can find specific parameters for each chain in the 🌐 Chain Cheat Sheet section on the left-side menu). Click "Save" to finish.

💰 Step 3: Prepare Gas Fees
Performing any on-chain action (token issuance, transfers, trading) incurs transaction fees. Different chains utilize different native tokens for Gas.
Please ensure your wallet holds a sufficient balance for the specific network:
BSC (BNB Chain)
BNB
Must be BNB on the BEP20 network.
Base Chain
ETH (Base)
Requires bridging ETH to the Base network.
Ethereum (ETH)
ETH
Fees are high; please reserve at least 0.05 ETH.
Arbitrum One
ETH (Arb)
Requires bridging ETH to Arbitrum.
X Layer
OKB
Withdraw OKB to the X Layer network first to use as Gas.
Monad
MON
Extremely low cost.
Plasma
XPL
Low cost.

Common Pitfall (Must Read)
If you are operating on the Base Chain but your wallet only holds ETH on the Ethereum Mainnet, your transaction will fail!
You must use a Cross-chain Bridge to transfer your assets to the Base network first.

⛽️ Gas Fee Optimization Tips
Prioritize High-Performance Chains: Networks like Base or Monad have extremely low fees (< $0.01 per transaction).
Monitoring Tools: Use Dune Analytics or a Block Explorer to check real-time Gas prices.
Batch Savings: Use Multi-Sender or Bundle Buy/Sell features to significantly reduce transaction costs.
🔧 Troubleshooting Common Connection Issues
Issue 1: Clicking "Connect Wallet" does nothing.
Fix: Refresh the page (F5) or check if your browser wallet extension is locked. If it is, open the extension and enter your password to unlock it.
Issue 2: "Wrong Network" or "Network Error" alert.
Fix: Your current wallet network does not match the tool's required network. Please open your wallet and manually switch to the target chain.
Issue 3: Cannot connect on Mobile?
Fix: Do not use standard mobile browsers (like Safari or Chrome). You must open the SlerfTools link using the in-app browser (DApp Browser) inside your Wallet App (e.g., inside the MetaMask or OKX App).
Issue 4: Balance shows "0" after switching networks.
Fix: This is normal. Assets are isolated by chain.
Example: Holding 1 ETH on Ethereum Mainnet does not mean you have 1 ETH on Base. You are seeing your Base balance (which requires bridging assets to fund).
Issue 5: No response when clicking "Switch Network".
Fix: The MetaMask popup may be blocked by your browser.
Check your browser's address bar for a "Pop-up Blocked" icon.
Or, manually open the MetaMask extension to check for pending requests.
