🔴Optimism Network Guide
🚀 About Optimism Network
Optimism (now officially rebranded as OP Mainnet) is a premier Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum. Built on the OP Stack (Bedrock), it batches transactions off-chain and submits results to the Ethereum mainnet, achieving ultra-low gas fees and near-instant confirmations while maintaining full EVM compatibility. By inheriting Ethereum’s robust security, OP Mainnet has established itself as the core hub for a highly interoperable L2 ecosystem.
On Optimism, SlerfTools provides a seamless, one-stop suite for the entire lifecycle of your project—from Token Creation and Airdrop Distribution to Trade Execution and Wallet Management.
⚠️ Network Configuration & Support:
This page summarizes the RPC parameters required to switch your wallet to the Optimism network.
Consistent Workflow: Once the network is switched, all processes remain identical to those on BSC.
Tutorial Note: Although tutorial screenshots may use BSC as an example, the UI and steps for Optimism are exactly the same. You can follow the visual guides step-by-step without any adjustments.

🎯 OP Mainnet Advantage: As the core of the "Superchain" ecosystem built on the OP Stack, OP Mainnet is a foundational pillar of Ethereum's Layer 2 scaling.
It boasts top-tier ecosystem partners such as Coinbase (Base) and Worldcoin. With its high EVM Equivalence, ultra-low gas fees, and near-zero migration costs for developers, it remains a premier hub for the decentralized future.
⚙️ Step 1: Network & RPC Configuration
🌟 Note: Ensure your wallet parameters align with the latest official standards. While many legacy documents still refer to the network as "Optimism," it is recommended to use "OP Mainnet" for your metadata and network configuration.
Please ensure your wallet holds ETH to pay for transaction (gas) fees. The OP token is a governance token and cannot be used to pay for gas on the network.

⛽️ Gas Fees: Overview & Optimization (ETH)
Following the Ecotone upgrade (which introduced Blobs), Optimism’s gas mechanism underwent a fundamental shift. Total fees are now comprised of two main components: the L2 Execution Fee and the L1 Data Security Fee.
1. Fee Overview
Standard Transactions: All transactions consume ETH. Currently, the cost for a Swap or transfer on OP Mainnet is typically <$0.005, making it one of the most cost-competitive Layer 2 solutions available.
The Superchain Advantage: Because OP Mainnet shares the same architecture as other OP Stack chains (such as Base), cross-chain interoperability costs are expected to decrease even further in the future.
2. How to Obtain Gas (ETH)
Official Bridge (Optimism Gateway): The most secure method. Deposits from Ethereum L1 take approximately 5 minutes. Note that withdrawing back to the mainnet requires a 7-day challenge period.
Centralized Exchanges (CEX): Platforms like Binance, OKX, and Coinbase support direct ETH withdrawals via the Optimism network. This is the fastest route and bypasses the 7-day withdrawal restriction.
Cross-chain Aggregators: We recommend using Superbridge or Jumper, as they are specifically optimized for routing liquidity between OP Stack chains.
3. Optimization Tips
Monitor Blob Fees: Although extremely low, gas costs are still subject to the volatility of the Blob market on Ethereum Mainnet.
Batch Operations: Utilize SlerfTools for batch transfers to achieve significantly higher cost compression compared to sending multiple individual transactions.
Prioritize Native USDC: Whenever possible, use Native USDC. It offers superior liquidity and a smoother user experience compared to legacy bridged versions (USDC.e).
📊 Common Resources List (Dev Resources)
⚠️ Critical Note: Both Native USDC and Legacy Bridged USDC (USDC.e) coexist on Optimism. Please double-check the contract addresses before adding liquidity or launching your token pools!

❓ Optimism Exclusive FAQ
Why does the WETH address look so strange (starting with 0x4200...)?
This is a core feature of the OP Stack architecture. Many essential system contracts—including WETH, the OP Governance token, and other core protocols—are "pre-deployed" at fixed addresses beginning with 0x4200. Unlike Ethereum Mainnet or other L2s, these are the official, standardized addresses. It is perfectly normal and safe to interact with them.
I am withdrawing from Optimism to Ethereum Mainnet; why is it "Waiting for proof" for 7 days?
Optimism utilizes Optimistic Rollup technology. To ensure network security and prevent fraudulent transactions, the protocol enforces a 7-day Challenge Window. During this period, the transaction's validity can be contested.
The Shortcut: If you need instant withdrawals, use third-party bridges like Orbiter or withdraw via a Centralized Exchange (CEX). These platforms use liquidity pools to pay you out immediately, bypassing the 7-day wait.
What is the difference between Native USDC and USDC.e?
USDC.e (Bridged): The legacy version of USDC that was bridged from Ethereum Mainnet via the official Optimism bridge.
Native USDC: Issued directly on the Optimism network by Circle.
Status & Recommendation: Most major exchanges (like Coinbase) and DeFi protocols now prioritize Native USDC. When creating liquidity pools or launching tokens, we strongly recommend using Native USDC (
0x0b2C...) for better liquidity and broader ecosystem compatibility.
What is the Superchain, and how does Optimism benefit from it?
OP Mainnet is the cornerstone of the "Superchain" ecosystem. This architecture allows it to share security, bridging standards, and a communication layer with other OP Stack chains like Base and Zora. In the future, this will enable seamless, near-instant cross-chain interoperability within the entire Superchain network.
Does the Batch Collection tool support the OP token?
Yes. Our Batch Collection tool is not limited to ETH. You can consolidate any ERC20 token, including OP, WLD, ARB, and more. Simply enter the specific contract address into the tool.
Reminder: Ensure your sub-wallets contain a tiny amount of ETH to cover the gas fees for the collection process.
