MetaMask is the universal wallet for the EVM ecosystem, supporting all major chains including BSC, Base, Ethereum, and Arbitrum. SlerfTools is fully compatible with MetaMask.

This guide covers everything from installation to connecting with our tools. While similar to the OKX Wallet, MetaMask is often preferred for managing custom RPCs.

MetaMask supports ALL EVM-compatible chains. Simply add the corresponding RPC parameters to seamlessly use SlerfTools for Token Launches, Airdrops, Trading, and Market Making.

📥 Step 1: Download & Installation

Always use official channels to avoid phishing scams.

Installation Demo (Chrome Extension):

1. Visit the official website and click GET METAMASK.

2. Select Install MetaMask for Chrome (Your browser).

3. You will be redirected to the Chrome Web Store. Click "Add to Chrome" -> "Add MetaMask".

4. Once installed, the fox icon 🦊 will appear in your browser's toolbar (top right corner).

🔑 Step 2: Create or Import Wallet

Upon launching the extension, you will be presented with two options:

Option A: Create a new wallet

Best for users new to Web3.

1. Click "Create a new wallet".

2. Set a strong password (this is used to unlock the wallet on this device only).

• The screen will display 12 English words.

• Write them down on paper and store them in a secure location.

• NEVER screenshot, photograph, or share these words with anyone! Your Secret Recovery Phrase = Control over ALL your assets.

1. Verify the words in the correct order and click Confirm.

2. Success! Your wallet is ready.

Security Best Practices

• NEVER Share Your Seed Phrase or Private Key: No person, platform, or so-called "Official Support / Admin" will EVER ask you to provide your Secret Recovery Phrase or Private Key.

• Use a Hardware Wallet: Hardware wallets (like Ledger or Trezor) store your Private Keys offline. Even if your computer browser is compromised by malware or viruses, attackers cannot access your keys.

• Phishing Protection: Our official website and product pages will NEVER present forms asking you to "Reset Wallet" or "Recover Wallet." We will never ask you to enter your Seed Phrase on a webpage.

Option B: Import an existing wallet

For users who already have a Seed Phrase (e.g., migrating from OKX or Trust Wallet).

1. Click "Import a wallet".

2. Enter your 12 words Secret Recovery Phrase.

🌐 Step 3: Add EVM Networks (BSC/Base/Monad)

By default, MetaMask is pre-configured with the Ethereum Mainnet. To use SlerfTools on other chains (such as X Layer, Monad, etc.), you need to add them.

1. In your wallet extension settings, select “Networks”.

2. Go to the “Manage Networks” page.

3. Find popular networks (like BNB Chain) in the list and click.

4. Or add manually: Click "Add a custom network", and add the target chain’s parameters.

• Use ChainList.org: This is a popular third-party tool for one-click configuration.

  • Steps: Search for the chain name (e.g., "Base") → Click "Connect Wallet" → "Add to MetaMask".

• Use Revoke: You can also use Revoke to look up parameters for any public chain and verify your configuration.

🔌 Step 4: Connect to DApp

1. Visit the SlerfTools official website.

2. Click "Connect Wallet" in the top right corner.

3. In the MetaMask popup window, select the account you wish to connect, then click "Connect" -> "Confirm".

4. Connected Successfully! All your actions will now be signed via MetaMask and submitted on-chain.

MetaMask vs. OKX Wallet: Which one is better?

Both support EVM chains. MetaMask is the industry standard with the most extensive ecosystem. OKX Wallet integrates more non-EVM chains (such as BTC and Solana). SlerfTools fully supports both.

What if I forget my password?

If you have your Seed Phrase (Mnemonic), you can uninstall and reinstall the wallet, then select "Import Wallet" to reset your password. If you have lost your Seed Phrase, your assets cannot be recovered.

Why does it say "Insufficient Gas" during a transfer?

Transactions on EVM chains require native tokens to pay for Gas fees. For example: BNB for BSC; ETH for Base, Ethereum, and Arbitrum; OKB for X Layer. Please ensure your wallet holds a sufficient balance of the native token.

Why did adding the network fail?

Check if the RPC URL is invalid or outdated. You can try using an alternative RPC endpoint (e.g., from ChainList). Alternatively, try disabling your Firewall or VPN.

How do I recover a lost Seed Phrase?

Once lost, a Seed Phrase cannot be recovered! Keeping multiple offline backups is the only safeguard. Do not store it in your phone gallery or on any device connected to the internet.
