#️Orca Liquidity Pool (Add Pool) Creation Tutorial

SlerfTools - Solana Toolkit Safe

open-source, providing the most convenient one-stop experience for Solana users.

Orca is one of the more well-known decentralized exchanges on the Solana chain. Compared to Raydium, the cost of creating liquidity on Orca is very low (usually less than 0.5 SOL). Additionally, it is common to create USDC pools on Orca because USDC pools have lower impermanent loss compared to SOL pools, reducing the risk associated with Solana price fluctuations.

There are a few things to note when creating a pool on Orca:

  • Common trading bots and token tracking bots may not capture Orca's liquidity, meaning bot trading is not possible.

  • The OKEx Web3 wallet also has delays in capturing Orca's liquidity, and the built-in swap may not support it in the short term.

  • The LP obtained from creating a pool on Orca is an NFT, making it more cumbersome to destroy.

Creating a liquidity pool on Orca:

Open the webpage: https://www.orca.so/create-pool and fill in the corresponding token information.

  • Token A: This is the token you issued. Enter the contract address to find your token.

  • Token B: Base pool token, such as USDT, SOL, USDC, etc.

  • Fee tier: This is the fee/slippage rate. My suggestion is to enter 2%; setting it too low is not conducive to trading.

  • Initial price: The initial price. If you are creating a pool with a token and SOL, this price indicates how much SOL one token is worth.

  • Liquidity range: The range of liquidity, referring to the price range of your token.

  • Currently, there are two options: FULL and CUSTOM. If you don't understand what it means, just select FULL, which is the entire range, similar to PancakeSwap V2. If you select CUSTOM, it adopts the V3 concept, which is not recommended here.

After filling in all the information, the next step is to enter the corresponding token amounts. The final form should look like this:

After confirming the prices are correct, click "Create Pool." Your wallet will prompt you for confirmation. Click confirm to complete the creation of the liquidity pool.

How to view the pool after it is created:

  1. Reconnect your wallet (if it is not already connected)

Then click on "Portfolio" and wait for a few seconds. You will be able to see your pool.

If you want to withdraw liquidity, you can click on your trading pair and select "Withdraw Liquidity" (if you want to continue adding to the pool, select "Deposit").

Next, follow the prompts on the page to select the proportion of liquidity you want to withdraw, then click "Withdraw." Confirm in your wallet and pay the gas fee to complete the process.

Note: After adding liquidity, the trading page is www.orca.co, not www.v1.orca.co.
